Soapbox Studios chooses Digidesign's C|24 |
We rely heavily on Troy to supply the studio with gear. He's quick with answers on the latest and always follows up. This project went through many revisions, and he is always able to accommodate our needs and work within our budget.
Soapbox Studios has recently expanded again, and chose RSPE and the new Digidesign C|24 console for the job. Their new location is in midtown Atlanta, and with this state of the art music recording complex, they've added another creative work environment for their top clientele. Soapbox Studios Midtown is based around a Digidesign ProTools HD3 system with Apogee I/O and features the new C|24 console. They also have custom Augspurger monitors with massive 18" subwoofers, as well as Dynaudio and Yamaha monitoring. A full compliment of outboard is on stand by, and their clients enjoy the luxuries and comforts of a top facility. The room has been busy since opening, with recent artists including Shayne Ward, Mario, Novel, DJ Toomp, Jasper Cameron, Big Reese, and One Chance. Carlton Lynn is the head engineer there, and talked with us about some of his favorite plug ins. He just recently upgraded to the Waves Mercury bundle. He's enjoyed putting the API 550B and 2500 plug ins to use and the GTR software has been great on his DI guitar and bass parts. But most of all, the L3 can always be found on the master fader to put the "squeeze" on everything. Carlton also told us about his RSPE experience, "We rely heavily on Troy to supply the studio with gear. He's quick with answers on the latest and always follows up. This project went through many revisions, and he is always able to accommodate our needs and work within our budget." All the best to Soapbox and their continued success! |
