Page 4 of 4 Tell me about yourself, how did you get involved in audio post? "I've been in the audio post business for about 35 years. I started at Glen-Glen Sound, spent 15 years with them and then spent about another 13 years with my own company, Larson Sound Center which was over in Burbank, specializing in television audio post, then about five years ago I started Larson Studios… This came to me as anadvocation, I enjoy audio, I enjoy sound. I spent some time mixing records during my high school and college experience. I saw too many guys that weren't eating that was doing what I was doing, and so Imade the decision to get my degree in business administration, and so I've been on the management side ever since. So you can say that my head is on the management side, but my heart is in audio." What are you currently working on? "Well, right now it's very interesting. We're in the middle of July and we have 15 television series going through the plant, which is highly unusual. Normally you don't get that kind of traction during the summer but we've become more and more of around the season business as opposed to just a business that operates during the fall and winter months… We work across all the genres, we're not exclusive to any one. To survive in our business these days I think you need to do that… And because we've standardized on the protools platform, we can take devices in any given stage and sit anybody down on any given stage and do any given type of project, which gives us a great deal of flexibility from the standpoint of being able to schedule and for usbeing able to satisfy our customers needs."
