If we have a problem or if we want to try something new, if we want to get a piece of gear in, if we need something fast, if we need something to fix a problem, they have answers and solutions, and it's been a very amazing relationship to have… Whether you're interested in a mic cable or an entire facility of gear, they give you the same amount of respect and attention." Rick, what do you like about working with RSPE? "The relationship with RSPE has been excellent." ... Rick looks for someone who is going to be there for the long haul... "I look for someone who is not a box house. What I mean by that is they'll show the same level of interest whether I'm buying a $200,000 console or whether I'm buying a $29.95 microphone hanger. Russ and the whole staff gives me the same feeling no matter what we're buying, they also don't care if we're not buying. If we have a problem, if Chris needs some help, if Dave needs some help, if we need some gear to check out, [they are] very responsive and I think that has been what has made the relationship really good from my viewpoint. There's a lot of box houses out there and they do a really good job and they move lots of equipment. That's good for them but it's not necessarily good for a facility like ours. Maybe fine if you're selling a lot of them to musicians or people that have project/garage operations, this doesn't work for us. We need to be able to call up and say, "Look, there's a new whiz-bang goody here, I need to try it before I buy." And RSPE is willing to let us try it before we buy. They're also willing to be our experts on it and fill in the blanks of things that we don't know about it or things that we've heard about it that may or may not be true. So it's been a good partnership, I would characterize it as a partnership more than a standard vendor-client type of a relationship."
