Genelec demonstrated their new 1038CF speakers in Vegas at NAB. The new Genelec 1038CF is a three-way active monitoring system including loudspeaker drivers, slim speaker enclosure, multiple power amplifiers and active, low signal level crossovers. Designed for medium sized control rooms this system is ideal for music recording studios, project studios, film and video post-production and broadcast monitoring.

Linear Acoustics were showing the LQ-1000 loudness and level metering system at NAB.

The LQ-1000 provides comprehensive loudness and peak level metering of up to eight channels of 5.1 surround and/or stereo AES or SDI audio per industry-standard ITU-R BS.1770, a crucial requirement for mixing and transmitting in compliance with ATSC Recommended Practice A/85.

Also on display at NAB, the new Dolby DP568 Professional Reference Decoder is the latest addition to Dolby's family of professional broadcast products, and is designed to help broadcasters ensure that listeners at home will enjoy the highest-quality audio experience.

Offering integrated audio and video decoding, the DP568 provides real-time reference monitoring of Dolby transmission audio formats including Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Pulse. Extensive input capabilities allow broadcasters to perform quality control at any point within their headend.

TC Electronics Debuted their new System 6000mk2 at NAB in Vegas.

The heart of Reverb 6000 and Mastering 6000 is the Mainframe 6000 housing all processing, physical input/output and connections for external control. The main control surface is the TC Icon remote-head and CPU, which easily connect via Ethernet to the Mainframe. The TC Icon remote are also available as software editors for both Mac and PC. Multiple Mainframes and TC Icons/Editors can be integrated into a network.

Fairlight were showing their new touch-screen EVO console at NAB in Vegas.

Congratulations to our long-time friend and client, Mixer Ryan Ulyate, and Tom Petty and the HeartBreakers on the release of "The Live Anthology". A four-disc set spanning 30 years, that features some of the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers’ best onstage performances.

The Live Anthology is a multiple-disc set of recordings drawn from thirty years of live performances. The collection brings together material from 1978-2007 culled from hundreds of hours of live concert recordings covering every era of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' tours and represents the best tracks as chosen by producers Tom Petty, Mike Campbell and Ryan Ulyate.
